As New York City students continue to dig deeper into learning that meets Common Core expectations, there are still a lot of questions as to what is the Common Core and what it means for students at Bronx Green. Below you will find videos, resources, and information on how, together we have and will continue to navigate the ever changing face of education.

Bronx Green Middle School has consistently met or exceeded city-wide expectations to support our students' learning of the Common Core Learning Standards.

Shift 2	Knowledge in the Disciplines	Students build knowledge about the world (domains/ content areas) through TEXT rather than the teacher or activities	2012 - 2013
Shift 3	Staircase of Complexity	Students read the central, grade appropriate text around which instruction is centered. Teachers are patient, create more time and space and support in the curriculum for close reading.	2011 - 2012
