Math Coach: Lindsey Muniz

Our Math program is designed to provide students with both personalized learning and rigorous, standards-aligned instruction. Math is taught in a two-period block to maximize student growth and understanding.

During the first period, students engage in Zearn Math, a top-rated digital curriculum that adapts to each student’s individual learning needs. Students are expected to complete a minimum of three Zearn lessons per week across five class periods. All assigned lessons are due by Sunday to ensure consistent progress and accountability.

During the second period, students participate in teacher-led instruction aligned to the New York State Learning Standards. Lessons follow a structured curriculum that emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.

In 8th grade, students are enrolled in Regents Algebra I, a high school-level course that prepares them for the New York State Regents Examination. This course builds a strong foundation in algebraic thinking and supports students in achieving high school readiness.
